I cant afford to make it to the funeral on time. for a round trip, it would have been something like 4K just in flights to fly back home in Europe and then back in time for work. This means the last time I saw him was 2 years ago.
I said I wasnt going to drink this year. Might have to make an exception for tonight.
Post sportbikes and dacias. And give your grand parents a call.

Man, I’m so sorry, not only for your loss, but that you won’t be able to go. Funerals are a time of sadness, but they’re also a time to reconnect with family, share memories, and remember how important everyone is to each other. I’m sad you won’t get to do that this time.

Oh, wow. My granpa’s heart stopped for almost 20 minutes today. He’s still alive but things don’t look good for him. He is my last living grandparent.

Damn I’m sorry for your loss. I need to call my grandpa. Hes sitting in a VA hospital recovering from light pneumonia. Hes 83.

Airlines used to have policies for these things to give you a break. I went to two funerals last year within two months and found out that’s not so much anymore.

My second grandfather passed away when I was in the middle of final exams in 2010 and I similarly did not attend his funeral back home in Holland. If you can manage some sort of bereavement fare with an airline, go.

Sorry to hear. I still miss mine. I just remember his approach to living his life, his manly handshakes (the only way to shake a hand) and what that life taught me.
Youll move forward with that soul in heart and mind.

I’ve lost all of my grandparents and as of last year, my parents. I’ve learned the pain will fade with time, but with some losses, it may take a long time. Surround yourself with love. It helps.

My condolences.
One of my grandfathers passed away in November and I didn’t go back for the funeral. It’s not easy, but you’ll be ok.
